Atlanta Civil War Round Table
Richard Barksdale Harwell Award Winning Books
Each year the Civil War Round Table of Atlanta confers the prestigious Richard Barksdale Harwell Award for the
"Best Book on a Civil War Subject." Below is a list of those books that have been chosen since 1988. The books
are selected by a group of Civil War enthusiasts chosen for their deep knowledge and wide readership on the
Civil War. The author is asked to attend a Round Table meeting and speak on their work. The list consists of
some of the best Civil War literature produced and these books would be great additions to any one's Civil War
Library.
