"The Man and the Hour Have Met" Jefferson Davis arrives in Montgomery. William Lowndes Yancey of Alabama, upon the arrival of Jefferson Davis, gives a stirring speech. In his speech Yancey proclaims "that the man and the hour have met". Yancey proclaimed that they had found the man that would lead the Southern Confederacy.
