| Navy Takes Action Instructions of the Secretary of the Navy to Flag- Officer Pendergrast, U. S. Navy, commanding Home Squadron, regarding movements of United States vessels. NAVY DEPARTMENT, February 2, 1861. SIR: On the receipt hereof you will direct the Powhatan to and the Pocahontas to Hampton Roads, immediately. You will proceed with your flagship, the Cumberland, to Hampton Roads also, and there await the further instructions of the Department.
