President Lincoln Adds to Plans
President Lincoln adds to his memo that was created on July 23rd
more plans for the conduct of the war. He writes that Manasses
Junction, Va and Strasburg in the Shenandoah should be seized.
He also writes that troops should move from Cairo, Ill toward
Memphis, Tn and that troops should move from Cincinnati towards
eastern Tennessee. The may bring some crisis because troops
may move through "neutral" Kentucky.
