Confederate Congress Ratifies Constitution

The Confederate Congress meeting in Montgomery ratifies a
constitution for the Confederate States of America. The document
is very similar to the constitution of the United States of America. It
has some differences. The president is elected for a single  6
year term. The president has a line item veto over bills. The
constitution  It specifically state that the States are sovereign. It
also guarantees the right to slavery.
